What I do:

I help you heal your relationship with food and come home to your body.

There will be no weighing your food, no death by restriction, no counting macros, no soulless meal plans, and no judging your health and worth by how much you can painstakingly budge the scale in a downwards trajectory.

No scales, period.

There will be lots of untying the knot of where your food fears and body shame come from, much unlearning of the many, many ways diet culture has lied to you, and a good amount of pushing yourself to think and act in a new way about food and your body.

Working with me will allow you to understand what your body and soul need to thrive, not what some diet somewhere has told you to do, or what someone else said worked for them. Your body is unique, as unique as your fingerprint, and listening to everyone and anyone but yourself pulls you farther and farther away from your deep intuition about what you need.

Committing to healing your relationship with food and your body is brave, challenging, and a bit scary. It can also feel exhilarating and revitalizing, kind of like taking a huge gulp of air after being trapped underwater.

Using the evidenced-based models of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size© (HAES), I will walk alongside you the entire way, guiding you through the process and providing a safe, nonjudgemental space for you to learn, question worn out beliefs, and grow into your new relationship with food and your body.

Your body knows what it needs, you just have to learn how to listen.

How it works

  • We will meet for a free discovery call to ensure we are a good fit for each other.

  • You and I will schedule weekly, biweekly, or a la carte virtual nutrition therapy sessions based on the amount of support you need. My approach is highly individualized and includes work in Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size, mindful eating, self-compassion, medical nutrition therapy, and the non-diet approach.

  • Doing this work is a lifelong practice and getting started is oftentimes the hardest part. My goal is to walk the first part of this journey with you and then ultimately get you to a place where you feel like you don’t need me. I know I’ve done my job when you can end our time together feeling confident enough to go out and continue this work on your own.

Note: I am based in Little Rock, Arkansas, but can see clients remotely in any part of the world.

Insurance information:

I am an out-of-network provider for insurance plans. This means that you pay the full fee directly to me, and, if requested by you, I can provide a statement that contains information about our sessions so that you may apply for reimbursement (a Superbill). If your insurance company requires that some other form be filled out, please have that form available for me to complete. Reimbursement depends on your insurance plan and level of coverage. I recommend that you call and ask if your insurance will reimburse for out-of-network Registered Dietitian services, and what the reimbursement rate might be.

If you feel like one-on-one coaching would be a good fit for you but finances are an issue, I do offer a limited number of lower-price spots specifically for people with at least one marginalized identity who are also lower-income.

What Clients Say

“Annette helped me so much!  She helped me have a healthier mentality with food.  Intuitive eating is helping me break the diets and learn to listen to what my body needs.  I’ve been eating healthier and meal planning regularly…..not because I have to, but because it’s making me feel better and it’s what I’m craving.”
